Apple Knowledge Navigator — 1988 (Video)

I found this video while searching YouTube for "Knowledge Engineer", a term in Howard Rheingold's book, Tools for Thought. I thought the video is really cool, and it is worth taking a look.

The current world is getting closer to what the video is portraying, and I like the term "Knowledge Navigator". It is interesting that 24 years ago, this concept was made into a video. The tablet device shown in the video is quite similar to the iPad, though it seems to be a little more advanced. Siri is getting there, I guess.

I like the idea of having a personal consultant or concierge in a tablet device, hopefully Apple will be perfecting the iPad so it will be this way.

I am also hoping the Android engineers will be able to get inspiration from this video as well.
