Sigmarion 3 PC-98 Emulation with Neko Project II

I got the PC-98 Emulation to work under Sigmarion 3 with a software called Neko Project II. Here is the video of it in action.

I got a light version of Emacs to work on it, as well as a game called Tiny Star Trek.

Here's my thread on HPC:Factor

The Emacs lagged a bit when I typed fast, but what can you expect? haha

Cathode App for iOS

I tried out a cool app called Cathode, which ran on my iPad Air 3 (2019) to emulate an retro PC effect. I connected to my server with it.

Thinking about 5G

Hi guys! It's Tsubasa, and here we are at 2020 where the Olympics in Tokyo will be postponed to 2021 due to the corona virus outbreak across the world.

So I've been thinking recently if I should switch to the 5G network in Japan, if it is worth it or not.

I am currently using a MVNO called UQ Mobile on my Xperia XZ 3 to save cost, but frankly I've been limiting my phone's potential in regards to speed pretty much. So, I've been beginning to think if a switch to 5G is worth it or not in April 2020.

There are 3 main carriers in Japan and a MNO called Rakuten Mobile. The 3 main carriers are NTT docomo (Which made the Sigmarion 3 long time ago), au and Softbank.

I used to use Softbank a lot, my first 3G phone was a Softbank (vodafone) 902T. Then over the years I switched to au using HTC EVO WiMAX. I currently use UQ mobile, a cheap MVNO (but good quality).

If I were to go a lot to 5G enabled places like Tokyo, I think it is worth the money, but until May 6th, there is the national emargency in Japan, so yeah.

Well, I will be researching about 5G.... See you soon.

Pocket Zaurus MI-110M from 1997

So, I happened to get a Pocket Zaurus MI-110M from 1997. The original cost was 83,000 JPY. If you're interested, I put it up on eBay for sale, so you can buy from here.

I like the fact that this little device at 14.6cm x 8.25cm is the dimension.
(5.748in. x 3.248in. in inches. ) has a modem and you could connect to nifty and FAX back in the days.

The fact that this little device works very well is nice!

Ghostery (browser) on XPERIA XZ3

So I downloaded Ghostery, a privacy browser to see what it's like.

I took a screen video of it.

Blackberry Passport Photos (Clouds)

So today, I've been busy with writing documents needed for my business incorporation, but earlier on, I went to Shonandaira in Hiratsuka. It was beautiful weather there, I could see pretty far away.

I also used my icom IC-R6 to receive some radio from control towers and planes. I heard something about "touchdown". They have a really good reception up there, so Shonandaira is recommended for good reception of short wave radio.

Zaurus SL-C1000 in 2020

I am going to sell this later on this week on eBay after I mod it to English, but I played around with the stock Japanese ROM version of SL-C1000. I tried the app called 乗換案内 which means transfer guide. It is a transfer guide for trains with fares. Quite useful, but I think the app is outdated. Hey, it’s 2020 after all. Haha. See you till next time. Tsubasa Kato 2/5/2020

Glory of Generals on iPad Air 2019

My first play with Glory of Generals was a victory after losing a lot of troops. Game is similar to 大戦略 (Daisenryaku).
