The other day I picked up a new old toy, a circa 2000 Compaq Deskpro EN computer. This little box is about the size of a VCR. It sports a 10gb hard drive, 256mb memory and a 667mhz Pentium III. After cleaning the computer up a bit, replacing a couple parts and installing a wireless network card and a video card with a TV out, I set this computer up in my television cabinet along with a wireless keyboard and a game controller. With a few console emulators installed and the ability to go to Youtube, I was able to give a little bit more life to this old computer and make my television a little more useful.
