New Old Toy

A few days ago, I bought an old computer from a friend. It's a circa 2001 Apple PowerBook G4 with a 667mhz cpu, 256mb RAM and Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) installed. The battery is an aftermarket one and doesn't appear to be very old; it powered the computer for well over 4 hours on a single charge when I tested it the other day. Enjoyable computer to use and while it is a little sluggish, it's hard to believe these things were being manufactured over ten years ago.

  1. 4hours without charge is impressive! :) I think my Vaio Z upgraded to 8GB lasts about 3.5hrs to 4hrs now... I guess my new memory I got (ADATA) hogs a little too much electricity.
