Okay, this made me want to explorer with Internet Explorer again.
Hm... Viral Marketing is effective. ;)

February Update

So I have been thinking about something that I posted before called the Android experiment or something like that. The idea was that I would use only my Flyer, which was my Android tablet at the time, in order to see of I could live without a laptop. The point I was trying to make was not so much without a laptop but with the tablet I planned to get eventually, an Asus Transformer of some sort. I never posted about it since the Bluetooth mouse I got for it didn't work.

Since then I ended up getting a ThinkPad x200s instead of the tablet. I haven't been posting much and I really should post more. In the time since I posted anything, I ended up getting some more stuff, and I am not sure why I never made any posts about it, so I guess you can call this an update on what has been going on lately for me.

I think the best place to start would be the first thing I got since my last post. A friend got me a Mac Mini off eBay, specifically a late 2009 model with a 2.53ghz Core 2 Duo. It has a 320GB hard drive as well as 4GB of RAM. Originally it came with Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard, which I upgraded to 10.8 Mountain Lion.

Next I was given an iBook G3 running at 600mhz, with a 20GB hard drive and 384MB of RAM. Sadly, while attempting to upgrade the hard drive, I no longer get anything on the screen except a blank white image. That came with 10.4 Tiger, but I wanted to reinstall it and put OS 9 on it as well.

Finally, the last thing that I got is what I am writing this post on. It was about a week and a half ago, so I consider it an early birthday gift, which was February 21 by the way, to myself. Okay, enough beating around the bush. I picked up a 32GB Nexus 7, as well as a 2 year accidental damage warranty, for 293 dollars. I used the change on a birthday coffee, a delicious quad shot vente caramel macciato.

So, what have I been up to in the mean time? I have been working on a project for awhile, something I started to make use of my old computers and other electronic toys. I type up a lot of recipes, as well as format and organize them. I have almost 4,600 at the time of writing this. I just got done splitting up a huge file, about 450 pages total. I did a lot of the formatting on a Treo 700p as well as a HTC TyTn II.

Pwn Pad... for Penetration Test...

Pwn Pad... for Penetration Test...

and this is exciting. Nexus 7 is used by Pwn Pad
The price is $795, which reasonable price to pay for this, I think.

Head to Engadget for more info.

Running Windows on top of Android (Videos)

Running Windows on top of Android (Videos)

Well, I've been talking with some cool people at HPCFactor, and I was introduced to BOCHS by the HPCFactor administrator, C:Amie.

I found these videos, and I was wondering how wonderful it will be to use BOCHS and QEmu on the latest Android hardware to emulate Windows. I would like to see a possibility of Android running Windows 8 if possible. My dream device is to use Sony Tablet P to run Windows 8, with Tegra 4 CPU (it's not out!).

Sony developers, if you are reading this blog, please make an Android machine that will be able to emulate x86 Windows 8 fast. I know you can do it. Also I'm looking forward to the next generation Playstation. Hope everything turns out well.

Windows XP SP2 on Android

Windows 95 on Sony Tablet P

Also, on a sidenote, I just had this wonderful inspiration to run Windows CE (x86) on top of Android! Keep checking, I might be able to do it!

EB-66 Destroyer - Electronics Warfare Aircraft

EB-66 Destroyer - Electronics Warfare Aircraft was used during the early stages of Vietnam War.
I used to like the A-6 Intruder when I was a kid. A-6 was used from 1963 to 1997.
EB-66 was used from 1956 to 1973 by U.S. Air Force.
I'm recently into combat airplanes, and as you may know, I've been trying the F-22 simulator's demo and also flying around SR-71 in X-Plane-9 on my iPad mini.
If you're a guy, and like combat airplanes, I suggest you try out even some of the older combat flight simulators (not necessarily made from Microsoft). I recollect liking to play Jane's USNF '97 very much... I think I will get a joystick again soon.... I think I sold it a while back lol

Treo 700P may be old but can handle one hell of a Word document!

Took some videos of my Treo 700P opening and saving a 2MB Word file, which contains 315 pages of recipes I have been typing up.

Microsoft DINOSAURS on Windows 7 Pro 32bit

I tried Microsoft DINOSAURS on Windows 7 Pro 32bit today.

The software was made in 1993.

It runs!

Time Travel to 1997. Alta Vista Personal 97

Time Travel to 1997. Alta Vista Personal 97. I tried this on my 32bit NEC VersaPro, and worked like a charm.

I was expecting this software to be a client that talks to Alta Vista web search engine, but it was a file index/searcher program.

Pretty cool right?
