So, I happened to get a Pocket Zaurus MI-110M from 1997. The original cost was 83,000 JPY. If you're interested, I put it up on eBay for sale, so you can buy from here.

I like the fact that this little device at 14.6cm x 8.25cm is the dimension.
(5.748in. x 3.248in. in inches. ) has a modem and you could connect to nifty and FAX back in the days.


The fact that this little device works very well is nice!

Zaurus SL-C1000 in 2020

I am going to sell this later on this week on eBay after I mod it to English, but I played around with the stock Japanese ROM version of SL-C1000. I tried the app called 乗換案内 which means transfer guide. It is a transfer guide for trains with fares. Quite useful, but I think the app is outdated. Hey, it’s 2020 after all. Haha. Tried NetBSD on Sharp Zaurus SL-C700

Tried NetBSD on Sharp Zaurus SL-C700 today.
It worked flawlessly by following the steps on this Japanese page here.

First I had to write the image file into the 1GB SD card by Rawrite32.
Then just following the steps on that page made it work! :)

I tried Mobile Kingyo Sukui 2 (Mobile Goldfish Scooping 2) on Sharp Zaurus SL-C3100 today. This Kingyo Sukui, or Goldfish Scooping, is a popular game in Japan where you try to catch a goldfish using a fish net made of paper. If the paper breaks, you lose, and if you catch the goldfish, you get to keep it.

Some people catch dozens of fish, although some goldfish scooping shop at the festival allows you to only keep several.

The game is very simply made, nothing like modern games on Android, but will be fun for killing time on the go. You can download the game here. The photos below were taken with 2006 Canon IXY Digital 800IS.
