Got a PlayStation 5... Finally.

So, the other day, I was fortunate enough to get a PlayStation 5 CFI-1200A01 after all these years. I was planning to get it in the initial release back in 2020, but I was never able to get it at a "normal" price. I had to pay a little premium for this machine, but it was worth it. I took two videos of gameplay, ASTRO's PLAYROOM and Final Fantasy VII REMAKE (PS4 Ver.). Enjoy!

Sony NW-A55 Walkman Digital Music Player Review

So, the other day I went to K's Denki, a local electronics store I like to go to, which is near my house. I have wanted a MP3 player for a while since I sold my silver Sony Walkman to my dad a while back. I was thinking of a model with buttons, but I decided touch-screen model might be alright too. I finally decided to get a Sony NW-A55 in metallic blue. I really like the color, and must get a screen protector soon. 

Alright, here comes the real review. 

For connection with a Mac, I am using the Content Transfer for Mac. The transfer speed of this device when copying Podcasts from Mac OS X's podcast downloaded by iTunes is very fast; I could copy 300+ tracks very quickly (with doubles, but that is automatically detected so it saves time!)

I am listening to Ed Sheeran's new album, No.6, and the songs come up very lively. I think you can't get this audio quality on an iPhone. (I have iPhone 6s right now and used iPhone XS). 

The microSDXC slot on the NW-A55 is expandable to 128GB officially. I would like to try an 256GB or 512GB card if it becomes available cheap in the future.... ;-)

The sound quality of NW-A55 is good enough so that even with my $50.00 audio technica headphone becomes very rich and lively sound. I will listen to the same songs with my Sony noise cancelling headphone I bought in Atlanta, Georgia back in 2018. I think it will sound terrific.

Tiny Core Linux on Sony Tablet P using Limbo PC Emulator

I've used the Tiny Core Linux on Sony Tablet P. It is pretty cool to be able to use Linux on top of Android (although Android itself is based on Linux).

I used Pentium 3 emulation with 128MB of RAM. I used Hacker's Keyboard as the keyboard, and the keyboard is much smoother than the stock Sony keyboard. It is nice to have up, down, left and right keys as well.

This Tiny Core Linux will come in handy when I want to scribble notes and tinkering.

Touched Xperia Tablet S

I touched Xperia Tablet S today at a local electronics store.

It was very smooth, and I liked it better than the Sony Tablet S.

Took helicopter video with Sony NEX-5N + Canon EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 II today. It's manual focus, so I had a little hard time, but it turned out satisfactory.

Today, I updated my PS VIta because it told me to when I connected to PS3 to transport a MP3 file to the Vita.

Tried out 7db wireless USB adapter with Vaio Z

I tried out 7dB wireless USB adapter called GW-USSuper300 with Vaio Z today at Shonandaira in Kanagawa Prefecture. I could pick up several AP. Sadly, no free wifi spots were found up there in the mountains.

Update: 12/17/2012 I used IODATA's WN-G300UA in approximately the same place, but it didn't pick up any AP except for my HTC EVO WiMAX which was on tethering mode. So it seems like the 7dB antenna on the GW-USSuper300 is pretty good.

State of The Art: PS Vita

I managed to get a PS Vita although I told Mikey I'm not going to get it. And yes, on the release date. December 17th, 2011. My first impression is a surprise. I forgot that PS Vita had a front touchscreen too. The first few keystrokes I had with the keyboard made me realize it's much smoother than Sony Tablet S I own. Well, of course, it's quad core beast, after all. I'm sure the PS Vita clock speed will be released someday soon. Some rumors are that the clockspeed varies from 800Mhz to 2Ghz. More review coming soon.

Thoughts about Sony Vaio VGN-UX50.

Well, my thoughts about my newly bought Sony Vaio VGN-UX50.

First impression: "oh wow, this device is rather fat!" lol.

But aside from that, very good expandability, with Memory Stick Duo slot (supports Memory Stick PRO duo), Compact Flash slot, USB 2.0, and a port replicator.

The keyboard is really tiny, wish they had made it a few millimeters bigger, as my hands are too big to really use it well. BUT, I'm getting used to it. Typing with my thumbs will be probably the best method.

There is a microphone plug and stereo out, which is quite good. The fact that it packs in Bluetooth and Wifi in this small device makes me smile.
